EBBC - Newsletter June 2018
We are happy to present you the most recent Newsletter of the European Business and Biodiversity Campaign (EBBC).
The recently published Biodiversity Report 2018 from the Union of Ethical BioTrade (UEBT) shows: Awareness and understanding of biodiversity is growing globally. People expect companies to respect biodiversity, but they are not yet confident that they will. This discrepancy shows an opportunity for business to take concrete action to position their brands as leaders in sourcing with respect for biodiversity.
Another opportunity not to be missed in these months: the revision of the European Agricultural Policy (CAP) is a crucial lever for making the protection of biological diversity in agriculture more effective. Global Nature Fund, Lake Contance Foundation and five European partners released a Position Paper on how to reinforce biodiversity performance in the future Common Agricultural Policy.
More interesting publications, events and news will be presented in the course of this newsletter. Enjoy reading!
